The Lloyd Dean Moot is a free entry-level oral advocacy competition for undergraduate students interested in law. It was started in September 2019 by the Black Law Students Association, Windsor Chapter, in collaboration with the University of Windsor’s Pre-Law Society and the Undergraduate Mock Trial Association. Modeled after the BLSA Canada Julius Isaac Alexander National Mooting Competition for law students, the Lloyd Dean Moot focuses on an area of law in which issues of equity and diversity arise, incorporating elements of critical race theory into the moot problem.
